well September is a strange month to start new things, and aim for new goals. Then again, it makes sense. Im in construction, and all summer we have been working on a high school in thornhill. and as you can imagine the deadline for the project was the end of august. we completed the project on time, and so tomorrow we start some filler work before we get out next big project.
Also, Amanda starts school, and will no longer be working as the receptionist for the (same) construction company. so there is going to be some adjustment with social lives and such as well.
i think all this change is good. its just a matter of becoming accustomed to the new routine, and trying to fit in bike rides and proper workouts.
this was one of my best summers ever. i had a lot of time spent with friends, going to concerts and hanging out as well as running a successful construction project with very minor hiccups and deficiencies.
either way, i am excited to get started on the new routines from here.
Thanks for the Support.

This weekend was more about fundraising than training. I didn't manage to get into the gym like I had planned, but we made some definite progress on the monetary front. We've been talking to everyone we know about our yard sale, and have started to solicit donations. I put an ad up on Craigslist asking for donations of junk, and have been contacting posters in the "free" section of the site. So far, so good! We've also finalized the date for the sale: Saturday, October 2. We still need to figure out storage - I definitely don't have room for all of this stuff in my tiny bachelor apartment! I think we're going to talk to a couple local storage facilities; we'll only need the storage for a month, so maybe they can cut us a deal for our charity sale. :)
A friend of ours hosted a "White Trash BBQ" on Saturday night, and donated all of the empties to our bottle drive. After one party, we've already made $20! Thanks, Laurel! If we can collect empties at every party between now and June, we'll definitely have a nice little profit to put towards our pledges.
The headache on Sunday morning was worth it, but it's back to the gym this afternoon. The agenda?
